Max is a 19 month old shihpoo, and was born on March 1st,2008. At the time, I was not looking for a new pup. I had gone with a friend. The breeder put three pups in the pen, and there he was. Absolutely gorgeous. He had a dark chocolate brown coat, and dark green eyes. I was sold. He was very shy and quiet. That did not last long. He began shredding toys and biting my feet. I have the marks to prove it. I tried everything, but was not successful. I was ready to give him back, as I could not control him. His only saving grace was that he was adorable. It was almost like he understood what we were saying to him as he would cock his little head to the side, and just looked like he really understood.
I was hospitalized in July,2009 for three and a half weeks. I was very nervous, as I did not know what to do with Max. My children were unable to take Max for different reasons. I was very fortunate that my neighbours Mary and Roger offered to take him and train him. They also have their own dog Saidie, who is a beautiful and wonderful dog. When I returned home, I thought that they got another dog, as he was a changed dog. They also socialized Max with other dogs. Now he has a bunch of new friends. I just don't know how to thank them for all they have done. I really appreciate it very much. Mary still walks Max 5 times daily.
WHILE TAKING MY USUAL LUNCH HOUR STROLL ALONG THE RIVER PATHWAY I MEET MANY DOGS. I MET A YOUNG FEMALE SHEPPERD CROSS AND FOUND OUT FROM THE OWNER THAT HE HAD JUST RESCUED HER FROM A DOG POUND. HER ONLY REAL BEHAVIOUR PROBLEM SHE SEEMED TO HAVE WAS PULLING ON THE LEASH. I SIMPLY ASKED HIM “MAY I ?”, TAKING THE LEASH FROM HIM. BY USING CESAR MILLAN'S METHOD FOR LOOSE LEASH TRAINING THIS LITTLE “LADY” WAS WALKING IN THE PERFECT SPOT WITH THE LEASH HANGING LOOSE, IN LESS THAN A MINUTE. I WALKED HER BACK TO HER OWNER AND HANDED HIM BACK THE LEASH. I THEN GAVE HIM A QUICK EXPLANATION OF HOW I DID IT AND TOLD HIM TO DO A SEARCH FOR CESAR MILLAN ON THE INTERNET. ( I BET HE DID SEARCH AND EXPLORE )
I LOOKED BACK A COUPLE OF MINUTES LATER AND HE WAS WATCHING HER WALK RIGHT BESIDE HIM ( I THINK IN AMAZEMENT ). SHE LOOKED PRETTY HAPPY ABOUT IT TOO.
THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME THAT I HAD REALLY HAD A CHANCE TO TRY OUT HIS METHODS AND I AM SOLD. IT SEEMED LIKE SHE ALREADY KNEW HOW AND ENJOYED DOING IT RIGHT.
CESAR'S METHODS ARE THE REAL THING. CHECK OUT HIS VIDEO FOR LOOSE LEASH TRAINING AND MAKE YOUR DAILY WALKS MUCH MORE PLEASENT FOR BOTH YOU AND YOUR PET.
THANKS CESAR !
